1. Available Vacancies

This recruitment is divided into two categories l, which are Inspectorate Cadre (Category A) and Assistant Cadre (Category.

A. Category A: Inspectorate Cadre
This category is divided into two divisions, which are:

1. Inspector of Fire (IF) - CONPASS 07: This position is specific to only registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM), or Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) from recognized institutions in Nigeria or abroad. As an Inspector of Fire, your work is to provide critical medical care, therefore, you are encouraged to apply especially if you're an expert in accident and emergency situations to ensure the well-being of victims of fire incidents.

2. Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF) - CONPASS 06: This position is specific to an NCE or National Diploma (ND) holders in any related field from a recognized federal and state Polytechnic Institution. As an Assistant Inspector of Fire, you will work very close to senior officers, this will give you valuable experience and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the Federal Fire Service.

B. Category B: Assistant Cadre
This category is also divided into two divisions, which are:
1. Fire Assistant II (FA II) - CONPASS 04: To apply for this opportunity, applicant must have atleast a minimum of five (5) credits in GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent exams, and also should have minimum of credit in English and Mathematics. As a Fire Assistant II, your role include firefighting operations, rescue missions, and fire prevention activities, to ensure the safety of lives and property of Nigerians.

2. Fire Assistant III (FA III) Appliance Driver (Specialist) - CONPASS 03: Applicants of this opportunity must have atleast five (5) credits in GCE, SSCE/NECO, or their equivalents, with at least a credit in English and Mathematics. And also having a Class E Drivers' License is an added advantage. As a Fire Assistant III and Appliance Driver Specialist, you will play a very important role in operating and maintaining firefighting equipment by driving the vehicles (cars) of fire Service in respond to emergencies, and providing essential support to the firefighting team.

Application Process:

Application of Federal Fire Service recruitment is very simple and straightforward process. Follow these steps to submit your application:

1. Visit the CDCFIB career portal given below from Wednesday, 27 December 2023.

2. Fill out the application form accurately and make sure to provide all the required information especially the asterisks.

3. Print and complete the Referee Forms, which must be filled and submitted during the screening exercise.

Important Notes for the Applicants:

- To ensure a fair selection process, multiple applications from the same candidate will lead to an automatic disqualification.

- The application period will last only for six (6) weeks, starting from the date of this publication. So you have to Make sure to submit your application within the given timeframe.

Eligibility of this Requirements:

in order to be eligible for this Federal Fire Service recruitment, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Nigerian Citizenship: Applicant must be Nigerian citizen by BIRTH, with providing proof of their nationality.

2. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess the apore mentioned qualifications for each position. It is important to note that any certificate or qualification that is not presented and accepted at the recruitment center will no longer considered valid.

3. Medical Fitness: Applicants must be in good health and present a Medical Fitness certificate from a recognized government hospital, in order to ensure their physical capability to perform firefighting duties.

4. Good Character: this one the most important criteria, candidate must demonstrate good character and must not have any criminal convictions or affiliations with secret societies (cult group) or drug addiction. Candidates should note that a background record check will be performed to ensure the integrity of potential recruits.

5. Financial Integrity: Applicants must not have been involved in high financial challenges that could hinder their ability to perform their duties responsibly.

6. Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old (any gender)

7. Height Requirement: Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65m, while female applicants must have a minimum height of 1.60m.

8. Chest Measurement: Male applicants must have a chest measurement not less than 0.87m, this is because chest capacity is crucial for physical exertion during firefighting activities.

9. Computer Literacy: Possessing computer/digital skills will be an added advantage, because world is now a global village, therefore digital proficiency is highly valuable in modern firefighting operations.
